Lois aims to develop a broad practice in all the main areas of Chambers’ work, in particular clinical negligence, inquests, public law, human rights and immigration.
Before commencing pupillage, she worked as an immigration and asylum accredited caseworker for Refugee and Migrant Justice, where she regularly appeared in the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal and drafted a wide range of immigration applications.
Jim also intends to develop a broad practice in the main areas of Chambers’ work, particularly in public law, professional discipline, employment, clinical negligence and inquests.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Jim was admitted to the rolls of solicitors in Scotland and England & Wales. He spent three years at Public Interest Lawyers.
Jim has just been appointed as Judicial Assistant to Lord Reed and Lord Hodge in the Supreme Court with effect from Monday 9 September. After this prestigious 9-month appointment, he will be returning to full practice at 1COR in June 2014.
