Tom Hills is 2nd Junior Clerk and started his career in Chambers in August 2012 following the completion of his A-Levels from Haywards Heath College in Law and Modern History. He has completed his BTEC Advanced Award in Chambers Administration for Barristers’ Clerks.

Tom is responsible for the management and development of all aspects of the various teams in Chambers, including diary management, allocation of new work, fee negotiation and listing of cases. Tom also oversees the more junior members of the clerking team in their day to day work.

Our chambers remain in the top twenty sets for client service in the legal directories, described in the 2021 guides as “the best clerking team I have dealt with. They are efficient and supportive. They go the extra mile to provide an excellent and responsive service.”

Tom regularly attends networking events locally and in particular is an active member of the Brighton Young Professionals Group and institute of Barristers Clerks.

Outside of Chambers Tom enjoys participating in all types of watersports, in particular kayaking, and is also a close follower of England Rugby. He also enjoys attending music festivals throughout the year.
