Sophie Evans is an established criminal practitioner, accepting instructions for both the prosecution and defence. She has experience across the full spectrum of offences, including offences of violence, drugs, dishonesty, driving and sexual offences. - RSCPA Appeal (2019): Resisted appeal of man convicted under section 9 of the Animal Welfare Act 2006.
- R v LW (2019): Successfully defending a young male accused of assaulting his 4 year old step-son. The case required cross-examination of a medical expert and handling a vulnerable child witness.

- R v NM (2018): Secured conviction of a defendant accused of outraging public decency on public transport.
- R v CA (2018): Representing a defendant accused of numerous offences contrary to the Insolvency Act and Companies Act in the winding up of his business.

- RSPCA v TL (2019): Appearing for the respondent RSPCA in an appeal against conviction of a man accused of cruelty to two donkeys.
- RSPCA v AF (2018): Secured the conviction of a Defendant accused of picking up and throwing his dog.
- R v AA (2017): Prosecution for a local authority of a Defendant misusing a disabled parking badge.
- RSPCA v HD & Others (2016): Secured prosecutions of four Defendants charged with animal welfare offences.
Sophie is regularly instructed in all areas of Police Law, including anti-social behaviour, disclosure applications, Domestic Violence Protection Orders, Sexual Harm Prevention Orders and Police Property Act matters.
