Rebecca Davies has over 20 years experience in the law as it relates to children. Rebecca’s practice covers the full range of public and private law children cases. Rebecca practices in courts at all levels and has been instructed as Leading Junior at the High Court.
Children (Public Law)In public law proceedings Rebecca represents parents, children and interveners. Rebecca has particular experience in representing parents with learning disabilities and parents with mental health issues. Rebecca has dealt with a number of fact- finding hearings which have involved inter-generational sexual abuse, non-accidental injury allegations and factitious illness allegations.
Rebecca’s practice covers the full range of private law children matters including cases involving allegations of parental alienation, intractable contact disputes, domestic and international relocation.Rebecca regularly represents parents or children through NYAS/CAFCASS.
Rebecca accepts instructions in injunctive proceedings, often involving serious domestic violence and abuse. She has appeared in proceedings concerning Non-Molestation, Occupation orders.
Rebecca accepts instruction for any party in the Court of Protection.
Rebecca has an interest in coronial law and accepts instruction from all interested persons, including families, NHS trusts and local authorities.
Rebecca has acted on behalf of various insurance companies in respect of road fatalities in Surrey and Sussex and has experience of conducting a fact finding public law hearing where a child died.
