Esme Cairns accepts instructions across a range of matters in the Court of Protection and in Family Law.

Esme joined chambers as a tenant in 2024, after successfully completing pupillage.

Before joining the Bar, Esme worked at the Law Commission as a Research Assistant, predominantly supporting the wills project. She also interned at JUSTICE, a human rights charity. Esme has volunteered with Citizens Advice West Sussex, Advocate and at the Free Representation Unit. She also assisted young people in police interviews as an Appropriate Adult.
