Delia Minoprio is a specialist family practitioner. She joined Chambers in January 2019 following a successful London practice at 42 Bedford Row.
Delia accepts instructions in all aspects of family law children work. Both public law care proceedings and private family law matters. She acts for parents, children, local authorities and interveners and has appeared in court all over the country including the High Court, and the Court of Appeal. Delia has been instructed on cases relating to Non Accidental Injuries: fractures and bilateral subconjunctival haemorrhages and ‘pool of perpetrator’ fact findings in relation to serious sexual abuse. Delia has appeared as a junior in the High Court for long running cases involving issues relating to Factitious Induced Illness and Non Accidental Injuries.
Prior to joining Chambers, Delia worked for the Ministry of Justice as in-house Counsel to The Rt Hon Lord Justice Thorpe in his capacity as Head of International Family Justice for two years. During this time, she addressed the European Commission on family law in England and Wales and several judicial family law conferences abroad.
Prior to life at the Bar, Delia worked in advertising. She speaks fluent French.
Delia regularly volunteers for advocacy training for students, judging mooting competitions and conducts seminars on public and private law matters, including in house training for local authorities.
Delia was a speaker at the invitation of CAFCASS on an in depth look at the law and practise relating to ‘alienating behaviours’ in private law proceedings at the Sussex Family Justice Board meeting in 2023.
Delia undertakes Pro Bono work.
