Anogika regularly appears in care proceedings, acting for Local Authorities, Guardians, parents and grandparents. She has also been instructed on behalf of the police on disclosure matters in care proceedings.

Anogika is regularly instructed in complex multi-day final hearings. She has appeared in proceedings involving domestic abuse, mental health concerns, substance misuse, neglect, and non-accidental injury. Anogika is also instructed to appear in FDAC proceedings.

Anogika has appeared in proceedings involving children and the inherent jurisdiction of the High Court. Anogika regularly appears in the High Court. She has acted in cases involving the Official Solicitor when there have been issues of capacity to litigate. She is often requested on cases involving issues of capacity.

She has assisted in the training of social workers in preparation for giving evidence in care proceedings.

Selected Cases

  • Re H (A Child) (2023): Anogika was instructed as junior counsel acting for the child in a 13-day fact-finding hearing.
  • Re E (A Child) (2023): Anogika represented a parent in the High Court in a case concerning the deprivation of liberty of a child.
  • A Local Authority v J&H (2022): Anogika was instructed in a final hearing concerning jurisdictional issues relating to SGOs and the placement of a child in an EU Member State.
  • Re W (A Child) (2021): represented the Local Authority in a final hearing in the High Court concerning the deprivation of liberty of a child.
