Amy Packham, instructed by CPS Counter Terrorism, ensured the conviction and 3 year sentence of a white supremacist for inciting racial hatred in a series of tweets. Tobias Powell pleaded not guilty but was convicted after trial. He published offensive and threatening posts supporting a banned far right group as well as overtly racist views on Twitter, including a photo of his dog with its paw raised with the caption ‘Sieg Heil’, and via email. Various weapons and far right literature were also seized from his home address.
