Join Paul Ashwell and Kate Richmond on Wednesday evening for a discussion on recent cases and principles relating to setting aside a judgment for fraud, then to the implications of the disclosure pilot.

Paul will being by looking at setting aside judgment for fraud, examining how the principles have evolved since the Supreme Court decided Thakar v Gracefield Developments Ltd. in 2019, when a defendant knows of fraud but does not plead it.

In The Disclosure Pilot for the business and property courts and why “the White Book is wrong”, Kate Richmond will consider the case of UTB LLC -v- Sheffield United and others [2019] EWHC 914 (Ch) along with recent updates and discuss the implications of the new disclosure pilot for the business and property courts.
