Amy Packham represented the 67-year-old accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting the child when he visited the family home of his son. The allegations involved the suggestion that he had taken advantage of a genuine medical condition she suffered from in order to abuse her, that he had displayed a sexual interest in her over a number of visits and that he showered her in gifts and money to buy her silence.
The jury unanimously acquitted the Grandfather despite hearing evidence from the child, both her parents and evidence from her school.
