Kate Richmond successfully represented the Defendant, a national media company, in a claim for alleged breaches of Articles 5 and 16 of the General Data Protection Regulation (‘GDPR’). The breaches related to the placement of a credit marker on the Claimant’s credit file.

The Claimant sought damages and the removal of the credit marker. Kate conducted the case and highlighted a number of discrepancies with the Claimant’s evidence that resulted in the court dismissing the claim and finding in favour of the Defendant on all issues.
