Catriona Murdoch, consulting with Global Rights Compliance, is involved in the Chatham House event discussing the innovative and essential business and human rights dimensions to Syria’s reconstruction. Wayne Jordash QC is presenting in conjunction with the Syrian Legal Development Programme.

This event aims to shed light on the risks, opportunities and challenges that should be taken into account by various stakeholders such as governments, businesses and NGOs when approaching reconstruction in Syria. The event will include two panels in which speakers will address the human rights aspects of reconstruction including political and economic issues that may impact the pursuit of accountability. This event marks the launch of The Syrian Legal Development Programme Human Rights and Business Unit which aims to address human rights concerns as they arise in reconstruction in Syria.

This event is being organized by the Syrian Legal Development Programme in partnership with the Middle East and North Africa Programme at Chatham House.
