Rebecca Upton defended Jamie Winchester during a 10-week trial at Hove Crown Court. He was convicted of transferring a firearm and ammunition that the Crown said were to be used to carry out the murder of 2 men. On the 23rd February 2018 he was sentenced to 7 years and 4 months imprisonment for these offences and an unrelated driving matter.

2 Defendants were convicted of conspiracy to murder following police covert surveillance operations. A further defendant was convicted of supplying class A drugs. 4 others had pleaded guilty to class A drugs supply prior to trial.
