On 12 November, the Association of Defence Counsel Practising Before the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ADC-ICTY) will host a training event in “Drafting Before the International Tribunals”.

Catriona Murdoch will deliver the training together with Sarah Bafadhel and Joe Holmes of 9 Bedford Row and Natalie von Wistinghausen of www.nvw-law.com and Counsel for the Special Tribunal for Lebanon.

Legal assistants are responsible for a vast amount of the written filings before international tribunals and this training will be designed to assist, in particular, legal assistants, both current and aspirational. The panel has collective experience, as legal assistant and counsel, of most of the major international criminal tribunals and is well placed to offer insights into drafting at all stages of the process. The training will focus primarily on motions, final trial briefs and appellate drafting.

A flyer for the event can be found here.

Registration is via the ADC-ICTY website here.
