Rebecca Upton was instructed to prosecute the case of Arthur Berry, who was charged with causing death by dangerous driving and 2 counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

Mr Berry caused the collision in Capel, Surrey, in April 2015. Evidence showed that he was driving at excessive speeds throughout the day, and at the time of the fatal collision, causing him to lose control of his vehicle. The car spun in to oncoming traffic and then off the side of a bridge.

Mr Berry pleaded guilty and was sentenced at Guildford Crown Court by HHJ Critchlow. He was sentenced to a total of 5 years imprisonment and disqualified from driving for 5 years also.
