Catriona Murdoch was instructed by the Bar Pro Bono Unit to represent the family in a two-day hospital death inquest in Ipswich. The death occurred after a long admission in Ipswich hospital. The family raised serious concerns in relation to the care the deceased received which HM Coroner Dr Peter Dean explored at the Inquest as potentially causative or contributive to the death. Peter Skelton represented the family at the earlier adjourned inquest in May 2012. Catriona was greatly assisted in this case by the relevant PIBULJ Inquest article co-authored by Elizabeth-Anne Gumbel QC, Caroline Cross and Peter Skelton.
