Clare Ciborowska and Catriona Murdoch have secured grants made available from the International Professional Development and Legal Practice Development Grant Programme. Following a competitive application process the programme offers financial assistance for barristers of 7 years call or less to attend legal events and/or conferences of an international character (whether in the UK or abroad) and are part-funded by the Bar Council, the individual’s specialist bar association and the participant.

Clare Ciborowska will be attending a conference on Alternative Dispute Resolution in Singapore on 4th and 5th October 2012 which is part-funded by the Family Law Bar Association.

Catriona Murdoch will be attending a conference in International Criminal Law in Montreal in Canada on 28-29 September which is part-funded by the Criminal Bar Association.

As part of the programme, Clare and Catriona will be writing articles on their experiences and these will be published on our news stream in due course.
