Six local Sussex law firms donned their beach volleyball kits on Friday evening (8 July) and braced the blustery but dry weather, for a chance to win Crown Office Row Barristers Chambers Charity Volleyball Competition and £875 for their nominated Charity.
Each team played each other once in a competitive league with the top 2 teams contesting the cup and charitable donation. The final standings in the league were as follows:

The final was an enthralling spectacle with Stephen Rimmer LLP scoring 21 points to Thomas Eggars 10 points, lifting the Challenge Cup Trophy and taking the £875 pot for Demelza Childrens Hospice. (For further information about Demelza’s click here.)
Having presented the trophy to the winners, Bob Wilson, Chambers Director at Crown Office Row, said – “It is fantastic to see so many local law firms having so much fun to the benefit of so many worthy causes. We hope to do this again next year with even more teams.”
