Leo Cogin joins our Family Team

We are delighted to announce that Leo Cogin, who was called to the Bar in 2000, has joined our family law team. He was until recently based at 4 Brick Court Chambers in London and started as a tenant here on Monday, 9 August. He practices primarily in all of areas of law concerning children including private and public law.

Brighton University awards Crown Office Row prize for “Families, the Law and Business”.

James King-Smith presented the prize sponsored by Crown Office Row to Hannah Beer at the Brighton University prize giving ceremony on 28 July as the most outstanding final year student in the “Families, the Law and Business” module. Chambers maintains close relationships with both local Universities.

Jane Peckham successfully defends County Council against claim for damages by injured teacher

Jane Peckham successfully defended East Sussex County Council in a claim for damages brought by Mr Michael Cleary, a supply teacher, who was hurt when dealing with a disruptive pupil.

Success for criminal team in road traffic fatality cases

Members of the specialist criminal team have recently achieved a series of successful outcomes at trial in road traffic cases resulting in death or serious injury.
