David Hart QC and John Whitting, instructed by Beachcoft, succeeded in defending North West law firm, Mace & Jones, against professional negligence claims by construction company D Morgan relating to advice provided by the firm on a number of planning issues connected to Bold Heath Quarry in St Helens. The claim totalled some £50m with a loss of profits claim of some £40m.
